I'm personally a lot more bothered at the number of resources required to make that possible then anything else. These tests could be used for much more social good than a sports league operating. I wouldn't be surprised if the NFL testing is the same but the doctor puts his fingers in his ears while they discuss their past fourteen days. Quite smooth of the NHL to find a way to have a playoffs with Montreal and Chicago in it. I hope one of them makes a hilarious deep run. I miss hockey for sure, but if they can't even make it through the beginning stages of re-launching without having issues like this, they should probably just wait it out until there's a vaccine and all players and personnel can be vaccinated. And this comes on the heels of the Phillies having to close theiir facility due to eight positive cases.....I'm just waiting for the NBA/MLS to come down with positive cases once they get to Orlando. And with 90-man preseason rosters plus coaching staff there's just no way the NFL will get through unscathed either. I'm going to guess they voted Datsyuk and people are complaining because they wanted Sundin to win? I haven't been in hockey forums in ages but I used to and Leafs fans were always vocal about everything and anything. I don't think it's fair to compare them on points scored (and if you check their averages, it's not even a big difference, not to mention Sundin still played the last few years of a very high scoring era) because Datsyuk's defensive play was amazing and he was ridiculously good with the puck. He didn't play for stats nearly as much as others. He played to win and he did well in my opinion. I don't even think Sundin was bad, but if they went with Datsyuk, as I'm assuming they did, I have to say I agree. If they picked Sundin and people wanted Datsyuk - doubt it - then I disagree with the choice but I'm still ok with it. Sundin was pretty good. My initial reaction when I saw the controversy was to immediately lol, Toronto but Datty had a much shorter career than I remember. But in terms of what he did IMO that means more, not less. Sure, give Sunny points for longevity but the only solo award he won was the joe jackoff leadership award? IMO as complete players they aren't even close to comparable, and even on pure scoring, when you look at when they played, I still give the edge to Datsyuk. He had amazing skills and hands. Sundin had his skills too but IMO he benefited a lot from when he played. Datsyuk played in an era where actual athletes played in net. Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...

Sundin did play through basically the entire dead puck era so that's his big advantage. That if he had played a decade earlier or a decade later his offensive numbers would be greater.
