So I was looking through the channels to see what all was on, and Mighty Morphin Power Rangers, the original series, is on ABC right now. Apparently they're re-broadcasting the series, I'm assuming every Saturday from 12-1. First episode is on right now... wow I feel like a kid again.

Does it look like they made a new opening to the show and added more things to the show like action words that are Batman-esque? I don't remember the words "BAM!" and "WOOSH!" coming up when things happen.

tons of old stuff is in HD now. the quality of the original recording is far better than the quality of the transmission 20 years ago.

From what I've read, when a movie is shot on film it usually has 4,000 or 5,000 lines compared to a HD transmission which is only 1080 lines or less.

After much reading, I have discovered that both Alpha-5 and Zordon are dead, this blows.

I have also discovered that some fools voted the original red ranger as the best at "Power Morphicon 2007", why the original Green Ranger didn't march in and Dragon Zord flute the shit out of that convention is beyond me.

Yellow Ranger is dead, and Red Ranger did some porn from what I heard. Not surprised if its true, because he was an absolutely shitty actor. (His father was one of the producers or something, which is likely how he got the job) Someone once said he sounded like constipated jock trying to rap during the morphing sequence, and that does kind of fit....

And didn't the actor who played Black Ranger (the first one, who WAS black) reveal he was gay several years ago, or am I thinking of someone else?
