Watching the Bolivia - venezuela game, Bolivia got a free kick, and the ref straight away went to the spot where the foul happened, got out a can of spray paint, and made a mark as to where the free kick was to be held.

In South America refs have the spraypaint to mark the ten yards for the wall. It's an obvious yet brilliant move to curb one of the most irritating bits of football.

Does the paint fade away at all or are there just marks all over the pitch by the end of the game?

it's not paint, it's foam that disappears after 45-60 seconds. It's extra cheap, they sell it on the retail here and it's around 10 USD

I once ran on a treadmill next to Stan Collymore when he was harping on about making a return to the Premiership.

He got off after about four minutes, sweating like a paedo at a nativity play and then spent the next twenty trying to chat up a receptionist who clearly had no idea who he was.
