Looks that way, although he's played at every level for Belgium, so on the 2014 game, chances are he'd go on to represent them internationally.

The transfer system definitely needs fine tuning still; on FM14, I got change from £10m for Balanta, Barbosa, and Gil Romero on one save. Potential world beaters should not be that cheap.

That is pretty much how I had my team lined up and we won the Prem with Rovers. My striker was set to complete forward mind you.

I paid £59,000 a week or something for Valdes. Like most FM games, they drop massively if they haven't been playing. I'd got rid of big earners like Rodallega and Ruiz before then, as well as being given a huge whack of money in the middle of the season.

Fulham had a terrible season, coming like 15th, 16th.... both were unhappy and I got Roberts for 9.5 and Williams for 12.

You had Valdes, Balanta, Sergi Roberto and Barbosa.. in the Championship?

Roberto was listed by Barca in the January transfer window, hadn't played a single game for either the main or B team, was a steal at 2.2 million. Just wanted playing time, probably.

Balanta and Barbosa I both had to convince to come, and let them have minimum fee release clauses that annoyed me in their lowness (Balanta's is now 51 million and Barbosa is at 22 million for CL clubs). I got Valdes by promising him vice captain and by making him my highest wage earner at like 66k a week, guys like Carlos Cueller, Gary O'Neil, Sebastien Bassong and Gary Hooper had to go to get him.

Valdes was definitely an indulgence signing, as I already had Ruddy and Itumeleng Khune fighting it out, but y'know... Valdes.

I just had to break my wage structure to give Youri Tielemens £88k a week to keep him happy and not want to go to Man City. He's only 19, I feel dirty

Still, I'm in the Champions League and City are not, so hopefully I won't have half my team wanting to go there for the money soon enough. Managed to win my group with 10 points, featuring Barcelona, AC Milan and Sparta Prague. Managed to beat Barca at SJP and some weird results within the group meant I took first place and have a manageable tie with CSKA in the next round. I'm also 2nd in the league in December. So all is good!
