I bought the Kevin Keegan game at a car boot sale once, just the cart on it's own. Took me ages to figure out how to progress the game.

My first was Fantasy Manager: The Computer Game, the one that had Badiel and Skinner on.

Think Premier Division on the Amiga was mine. No matter who you started with, you started in Divison 3 and it had a European Super League on it, which you got promoted to if you won the Prem.

And it was a far too regular occurence to get this news item...

The player then instantly disappeared from your squad! I remember being gutted at it happening to Brian McClair.

Man, what's the longest any of you guys have managed in Brazil on FM? I always forget how tedious it is. It's such a slog. I started a game and ended up getting the Sao Paulo job. Was only there for a year and it felt like ten, resigned at the end of the season cause the amount of matches is just a pisstake.

How are the players there in real life not just constantly knackered?

They've also got the state leagues, for whatever reason, that take up half the season.

It's also why Brazilian clubs usually have massive squads.

Yeah it's just endless. Like with Sao Paulo I had;

• Paulista State Championship from 1/2/2015 until 8/5/2015 which was 19 games.
• interspersed among that was 8 Copa Libertadores matches.
• The Brasileirao started on the 10/5/2015 and ran until 6/12/2015 and is 38 matches.
• Among that another 6 Copa Libertadores matches and 8 Brazilian Cup games.
• Then two Club World Cup games.

Then the break between that was from 19/12/2015 until 14/1/2015 for one friendly, and then the start of the state championship game again. About 80 games a season at most if you have a good season
