Eh, I'm sure Liverpool will make the group stages comfortably anyway. When you don't have to play them, managers say it's a good thing to avoid it, but when you do, they say it's a way of playing competitive football nice and early in the season to get back into the swing of things, so it works both ways.

Getting CL should mean that whatever targets Mourinho had in mind, we have a better chance of signing them. Yes, we've spent big in the last few seasons but the side clearly needs additions.

Results went our way so thankfully we're seeded which means we avoid the likes of Dortmund and Napoli, which was a real concern. So yeah, with any luck we'll get a relatively easy draw and then see where we're at. Klopp wants to get transfers done and dusted before preseason begins, so an earlier start to the season would probably actually help us to hit the ground running.

Will Liverpool be a pot 3 or 4 team, I wonder? I can't imagine them being Pot 4 but Uefa co-efficients are a strange and unpredictable thing for me.
