9 to 5
How much does a Boxing thing cost? If this is the biggest bestest boxing thing ever I might want to watch it Probably 50 or 60 dollars. Probably not worth the hype but then nothing would be worth this hype. brenchill
Guessing it will be about £25 in the UK?
9 to 5
Probably, never seen Sky charge more than that sort of figure iirc.
brenchill
US price for box office is outrageous.
9 to 5
It doesn't work out to much different than over here, a bit more costly sure but then we to watch their stuff have to stay up to the wee hours so only fair we pay a fiver less or so. >_>
Matt
Plus you need a Sky subscription in the first place. And I doubt commercial venues pay as much over there as they do here. Groves/Froch II was 285+VAT IIRC. Also: go Josh Warrington, the German crowd must have been confused as fuck hearing chants of "We're Leeds United, we'll never be defeated. And if defeated, we'll kick your fucking heads in" in the middle of a boxing match

Baddar
I don't follow boxing enough to pay to watch it. I've always maintained that I'd rather pay money for a WWE PPV than boxing, because often, the Main Event is all that matters, and it could be over in seconds. Granted, my argument doesn't hold up too well lately, judging by the quality of recent PPV events.
Liam
There is some boxing on tonight IIRC - any good?
Gorka
Carl Frampton defends his Super Bantamweight title against Chris Avalos. It's on ITV, I think around eleven. and Tyson Fury is in a title eliminator on Box Nation. Edited February 28, 2015 by Gorka
Admin Lineker Posted February 28, 2015 Admin Report Share Posted February 28, 2015 ITV4 has the rest of the card I believe before the main event on ITV.
Thrilla
Yeah, would have posted about this over the weekend but still have no internet at home. Eubank Jr and Fury both won their title matches, Frampton won in five rounds on the ITV match. Good stuff all round for the Brits.
Your Mom
So we watched the NBC boxing thing last night because I wanted to figure out if I like Boxing or not. One fight was awesome and the other one sucked. This didn't help me at all!
Baddar
In news that will surprise precisely no-one, Sky Sports Box Office is going to show the Mayweather-Pacquiao fight on May 2nd.
TCO
And in case you forget they'll be telling us that fact 425,000,000,000,000,000 times before the fight happens.
Gorka
Kell Brook has obliterated Jo Jo Dan in his first fight since being stabbed on holiday.
Bobfoc
There was a serious gap in class there. Very good job from Brook, but I'll be interested to see who he can get in his next fight. He's been pushing for a bout with the winner of Mayweather/Pacquiao, but that's almost certainly just posturing, and he's just called out Amir Khan again, who's also looking to fight Mayweather or Pacquiao. The latter fight is much more likely, but I wonder if Khan might end up looking for a big money match first.
Franklin_1
Gary Russell Jr. dominated Jhonny Gonzalez for a featherweight title tonight. Gonzalez came out wearing a Perros Del Mal shirt with Rey Mysterious and Konnan in his corner.
Rudo
I saw that, I was rooting so hard for Gonzalez but he was just outclassed. I'm happy for Russell Jr though, he deserves it.
Admin Lineker Posted May 1, 2015 Admin Report Share Posted May 1, 2015 If the fight goes the full distance, they will earn about the same as David Beckham did over his entire career.
