Escort quests are the bane of my existence in video games. Endwalker for FF had like 6 of them so far and I'm not even 1/4 of a way through this expansion.

I was never able to get the hang of Nioh controls though I admit to only trying for an hour or so and then getting frustrated enough that I wanted to throw something.

A lot of it is. I don't think it's 100% voiced but I haven't played in a bit so maybe I'm misremembering.

I have not finished it but I've 17.5hrs into it and it's been great. As Bobfoc says, it definitely requires a lot of reading and I've never played anything like it but it's been really good if you like that style of game (which I do). I'm also very slow with these kind of games as I get side tracked while reading sometimes so my 17.5 hours may not be that much actual game time when I come to think about it. I do want to go back and finish it but just haven't taken the time yet,.

I feel like I've fallen out of the gaming scene since I got into FFXIV and WoW but I'm trying to diversify my video games to try to move away from WoW and make some time to play other games. I'm very out of the loop on current RPG's that are out or new ones that are on their way out. I've looked through some of the anticipated games for 2023 but because I'm so far out of the loop, I'm unsure on which ones honestly fit my style. My style being anything that feels like FF, Dragon's Quest or Dragon Age.

Did anyone ever play Octopath Traveler? I had been meaning to play it all this time and now that I see there is a second one planned (and apparently there are like 2.5's as well), I was thinking about grabbing it and giving it a playthrough. Is it deep? How many hours is it? I like my RPG's to have a lot of play time and be deep in story/lore.

I'm one of the people that yearn for the series to go back to a more JRPG style game but man, I can't deny how beautiful that game looks. Plus it's being directed by Yoshi-P who also directs XIV so I feel like it is going to be a Day 1 purchase for me.

Yeah I play MMO's so the loot grinding is nothing new...and honestly I'd rather do it in a game that basically has no time limit anyway. Hopefully it has a good story as that's the main reason I play single player games. Although I just saw "Half baked ending" as a description and that makes me sad.....but we'll see.

For some people it means absolutely nothing so you enjoy that game! Edit: I realized after I said this that it might come off "head patty" (I can't think of the right word...maybe condescending.) and that's not the way I meant it to sound. There are so many gamers that don't care about FPS. It's probably somewhat noticeable but the biggest impact it has on games is probably First Person Shooter online games. You'd probably see a difference if you put them side by side but as far as how much it impacts the game and it's enjoyment is very little. I'd love to eventually pick it up. I recently said there weren't a lot of games out that interested me but I looked through the Sony Store the other night and found probably 20 games that interest me so now I'm trying to decide which ones to grab and in what order.

Nobody cares But yes, there is also Classic Wrath which a lot of people seem to be enjoying. A lot of the usual retail players are playing it since there isn't a whole lot to do on Retail at the moment. I thought about trying it out because I didn't really play Wrath since the first expansion I ever played was Cataclysm but between Dragonflight coming out soon and trying to get to max level on FFXIV, I just can't invest the time into Wrath.

Dragonflight Prepatch starts next week. New Class is available on November 15th. Dragonflight officially launches November 28th. First Raid (and the start of my week long vacation) is on December 13th! Also sometimes video game fans are the worst. So many horrible comments because of the 2 phase Prepatch even though they've done this many times before and it should have been mostly apparent.

We are one month away from the release of the newest expac which features a new class. As far as class, it really depends on the content that you plan to do. There are classes that are always strong in raid but suck in Mythic+, and then of course the other way around. I've basically played just about every class in the game except for like Enhancement Shaman and I enjoy a lot of them for different reasons. Warlock right now is super strong and it doesn't appear to be changing any time soon. The new Evoker class looks super fun but has a real issue with living at the moment. (Who the fuck has ever heard of a paper dragon!) For me I have the most fun on Ranged and I honestly love pretty much all of the ranged but Hunter was my original love and probably still remains as my favourite though I do plan to play Evoker when it comes out even if they haven't fixed it's horrible defensives.

Never seen it but googled and saw Dean Cain so I'm in.

I love the Rollerball remake. It's so cheesy but it's fun.

Yeah I'm sure it's going to end up that way, which will make my wife horribly sad since that's her guy. But they really need to get their fingers out of their asses and get a goaltender because so far, they haven't been able to find two to do the work of one Carey Price.

I never really have been. There are so many games out there and so little time to play them that I just can't be bothered with achievements. As long as I get through the story and get that to 100% then I feel like I've done enough to have warranted the purchase. Now maybe when I'm 60 and retired with not a lot to do, I'll focus on those trophies but I feel like my reaction times will be even worse than they are already so I'll just play mobas like everyone else.

Season 4 (the final season of this expansion) started today and they brought back old content for Mythic+. The 4 dungeons they added back were voted on and I have to believe that it was voted on by Bots because no human in their right mind would vote to bring back Grimrail Fucking Depot!

That actually looks super good. It might actually be something I grab when it comes out.

Then that'll be a purchase for me. I've been wanting for Hawkeye/Arrow game like this. I've always had a thing for archers (that sounds weird) and there's nothing I want more than a game that I can just go around the city taking people out with arrows.

If it's not broke, don't fix it. The Arkham games are pretty great so using that style for other games will always work for me. I'd like to see some other superhero games done in this vein to be honest.

Watched The Gray Man last night. I love mindless action flicks which is basically what this was. I feel like Chris Evans should have hammed it up a bit more in his role but it was fun for what it was.
