  1. My top 5 releases this year are probably: 1. Frank Ocean- Channel Orange 2. Kendrick Lamar- good kid M.A.A.D. City 3. Rick Ross- God Forgives, I Don't 4. Schoolboy Q- Habits & Contradictions 5. G.O.O.D. Music- Cruel Summer
  2. I watched 10 Years which is a movie about a bunch of high school classmates coming together for their 10th year reunion. Nothing extraordinary, but it was a nice little movie with a solid cast and decent acting. Also watched The Campaign, which was so so. Zach basically played Seth Galifianakis and essentially everything he did was funny. On the other hand everything Will Ferrell did just seemed forced and really unfunny. I like Will but when he tries to do dirty humor in his movies (Step Brothers excluded) it just really does not work.
  3. Yeah I thought that too. I don't think he's going to kill Hannah though, she'll probably go to jail, yes?
  4. I wish my theory about Doakes was right cause at least it would have been a fun trainwreck in an American Horror Story type way. This last episode was boring, and it looks like the next 2 will be as well. This season had so much promise too.
  5. Did anyone else notice he was the asshole cop in Dark Knight Rises that was guarding the bridge at the end? What an unlikeable guy he tends to play. I let out an audible "aw fuck" when that happened. As for the title of the finale,

  7. I watched Ted today. I want those 106 minutes back. I also watched The Comedy, which was interesting to say the least. Also not at all a comedy.
  8. Yeah but at that point Kid had lost 4 of his previous 5 fights and clearly wasn't the same fighter he was 4 or 5 years ago. I think Faber's a much better fight at this point in his career than Yamamoto is.
  9. Faber's in a completely different class than Kid though.
  10. The Departed, Inception, and Gangs of New York would be my top 3. Ask me again in a couple of months and Django Unchained might be up there.
  11. I read somewhere that Phil's contract demands were around 10 mil a season, and he didn't want to travel for every road game. I understand not signing a coach that doesn't even want to be there all the time.
  12. So just like everyone expected, the Lakers hired Mike D'Antoni. Definitely did not see this coming. It was looking like Phil was a sure thing.
  13. Why does it always feel like these Fuel and FX cards are among the best cards of the year?
  14. Plus the fact that he's a terrible defensive coach and that's what the Lakers weakness is (beside the Princeton offense of course). He's a great offensive mind, but Kobe, Dwight, Nash, and Pau could put up 80-90 PPG by themselves for any coach.
  15. Adrian Wojnarowski ‏@WojYahooNBA As Lakers ownership has been considering firing of Brown, Mike D'Antoni has been a prominent name discussed as replacement, sources tell Y! Yikes. That's a downgrade.
  16. Kanye West's My Beautiful Dark Twisted Fantasy is a classic all the way through, and Dark Fantasy-Gorgeous-Power grips you right from the start.
  17. Parks & Rec made me feel feelings. Such a great moment. Also Donna being a live tweeter and Joe Mande playing the guy complaining about her profane tweets were fantastic references.
  18. I tweeted "This episode of Community on right now is HILARIOUS!" Admittedly not my best work.
  19. Yes, that scene exactly. So terrifying.
  20. Heroes. I don't know what you're talking about, there's only one season.
  21. Just finished watching Abraham Lincoln Vampire Hunter. Not much to say except it was a very fun movie and a great way to spend 100 minutes. Perfectly ridiculous and over the top.
  22. The scene where Dexter is mocking Speltzer yelling "FUCK" is the funniest thing the show has ever done.
  23. Mystic River. I guess if you like ridiculous overacting, then this is for you. The Ides of March. Just as I was getting interested, it ended. Dances With Wolves. I really dislike Costner and this movie felt like it was 5 hours long. It was actually 3, was is too long as it is. Prometheus. I didn't hate it, but it was the biggest disappointment in years.
  24. Looking at my DVDs and naming things that haven't been said in the thread so far: - Pretty much every Jason Statham movie. - Club Dread. I thought this movie was hilarious but I'm convinced I'm the only one. - The Final Destination movies. The last 2 weren't great but the first 3 were all fantastic. - House of 1000 Corpses/The Devil's Rejects. Critics shit on House of 1000 Corpses especially, but I loved it. It's even funnier to watch it now and see how fat Chris Hardwick was. - The Lost World. I don't get the hate for this one. It's not as good as Jurassic Park but it's pretty damn close. - The Men Who Stare At Goats. Thought this was hilarious but critics didn't seem to like it. - Walk Hard. The critics did like it, but this bombed in the theater and I don't understand why. It's fucking hilarious. - Wet Hot American Summer. I can understand why because the humor isn't for everyone, but this is one of my top 5 favorite comedies.
