To be fair, like every other player that plays for another country they did it to try and win things. >_>

No, FIFA fixed their rankings a while ago didn't they? And when they did that, USA and Mexico dropped to their rightful spots between 15-25. I think they made it so that who you play is counted, not just how many games you win, meaning USA & Mexico's wins over Guadalajara or the Bahamas don't have as much of an impact anymore.
