I was talking to a friend about this during the last match...

I wouldn't mind if we were crap, but we gave 100% and worked hard for whatever we got.

I wouldn't mind if we were world-class, winning important matches, getting to Semi-Finals of tournaments but losing meaningless friendlies.

But what I do mind is being of a decent quality and playing the most boring, mind-numbing football on the entire planet and achieving precisely nothing. We are just so pedestrian. There's nothing to our play. We just turn out and go through the motions every fucking time.

Also, brass bands. I fucking hate brass bands playing throughout matches. I was sitting near the brass band during an England/Holland friendly at Villa Park in 2004 (or 05?) and the best thing that happened all game was someone shouting "shut up, you cunts!" at them.
