Liverpool are trying to sign a winger, according to various twitterererers.

They need someone to cross the ball to the big lunk wit hthe ponytail, natural width has been a problem for them since last season, don't know why they don't try Glenn Johnson at Right Midfield?

Because he's shite.

If they had a left-footed striker to cut inside, then it'd work well with Suarez, Carroll (?) and said striker up front and Gerrard and maybe Charlie Adam throwing crosses from midfield. It's the service of the ball that matters most.

However, wingers would be good also.

Suarez can play wide.

He can but he doesn't prefer it, plus he doesn't cross the ball, he cuts inside.

Last thing we need is another Babel....

No i mean for the fact that I'd rather him play upfront with Suarez then do the usual lets play a striker on the wing and watch them cut in all the time

I saw Suarez when Ajax played Bristol City in a friendly. Admittedly it was Bristol City and Dennis fucking Rommedahl managed to score from 45 yards, but he was fucking awesome, cutting inside and outside and running all around the place. He's much, much better than Babel but those skills don't always transition well to the Prem. He's not too scrawny so he won't be bullied as much as your Robinhos but he'll have to work hard. After being pessimistic when we signed Torres and being proven wrong I'm actually quite excited for Suarez. And I do think Carroll will be good too, I just doubt his reliability long term.
