When I fortify smithing will the items I make have higher stats or is it just the items I improve on the bench\grindstone? I'm trying to figure if there's a point to crafting my own of something when I have it ripped off a corpse already.

Regardless of your skill level, each item you make at a forge as a base value that will always remain the same. Fortify (and your skill in general) affects the improvement to it.

The only real point to crafting an item over using one you get off a corpse would be getting the skill point for making it. Although really, you can reach a certain point where it pretty much doesn't matter what you're wearing due to an armor cap, and thus, armor becomes mainly a question of vanity.

It basically works like this:

Max out Smithing, Enchanting and Alchemy.

Enchant gear with "Fortify Alchemy"

Put on enchanted gear, craft a couple "Fortify Enchant" potions.

Get new gear to put better Fortify Alchemy enchants on and Fortify Smithing

Craft better Fortify Enchant potions and Fortify Smithing potions.

Craft your armor set.

Drink Fortify Smithing potion, upgrade.

Drink Fortify Enchanting, apply enchants.

RP'ing as Skyrim Green Arrow. Figuring out what to do.

For sure I'm doing The Companions and Dawnguard stuff.

Destroy the Dark Brotherhood.

Actually thinking of joining the Thieves Guild because that kinda works.

Joining the Imperials.

I installed a "Zombie" mod and came home to a mass on my porch. I used the storm call. Think one of my guards is in the pile.

That is one if the twin Dragon Kings that will one hit kill you. They form a triangle of pain with the King Spider camp(The King spider is twice the size of the regular giant spider and it's minions one hit kill with magic) and the Cultist Giant/Troll camp. They all occasionally get into big brawls and kill everything else. There's only one Dragon left because the spiders mortally wounded the other and I killed it at the Word Wall. The Giant Cultist camp was finally wrecked by the remaining Dragon and I bombed the fuck out of the Spiders with exploding arrows. I need to raise a party for this Dragon.

I encountered this pack of spooky looking Vampires just attacking a Mammoth.

Just up the road there were Werewolves fighting Ice Wraiths.

Turn around and there's this dude.

Picked an interesting weapon up. It weighs 300 pounds!

I was helping Templar Kinights fight the undead but one stepped in the way of my arrow so they all attacked...

And over the hill from all this there is a couple real giants.

Does anyone have any suggestions for making Morrowind more enjoyable? I've got Morrowind, Oblivion, and Skyrim on Steam, to try and play through all three of them, but Morrowind is a very differently feeling game to its successors. It seems rely on more traditional RPG mechanics, like dice roll attacks, for starters. It's also very difficult wrapping my head around PC controls too.

Shor's bones, I love this game's logic.

"Hey, so if you wanna be Thane, you need to help out some people in the hold."

"K."

*LATER*

"So uh, you wanna buy this potato?"

"Honest pay for honest work."
