That's uh... not exactly how I pictured Mace Tyrell.

I'll also take this opportunity to say that having read most of the books now, I'm severely disappointed at the lack of Strong Belwas thus far. What a man he is.

That's pretty much exactly how I expected Tyrell to look. Plus leaves Gatiss available for a much juicer role.

Yeah, Griffiths is a bit too... sombre to be Mace Tyrell, IMO.

I pictured him as a less impressive Tywin Lannister. Maybe with a silly hair cut to emphasize that he's not quite as cool.

I always thought of him as a fat, jolly kind of old dude but was secretly sneaky. Kind of Jim Broadbent-like.

I thought that was great. I can see that they probably deleted it because it didn't really add anything essential to the overall plot of the series, but Pycelle is so often overlooked in favour of the more prominent Small Council members in Littlefinger and Varys, despite being someone I really want to find out more about. Of course, Tywin being Tywin was entertaining as always.

Mark Gatis (Mycroft Holmes in Sherlock) has been cast for season four. No role revealed, but the Comic Con panel is nearly upon us, so...

Has this been revealed yet? I'm thinking maybe Doran Martell?

Nope. I don't think there's been concrete casting news since the Mace Tyrell news.

I don't think we'll ever see a better portrayal of Ser Gregor Vs. Oberyn Martell than Lesnar Vs. Punk.
