Since I'm bored at work, I decided to look up Default. Apparently Chad Kroeger wrote a lot of their stuff so...if you wanted to hate them more, there ya' go.

I didn't know Default was Canadian. I just watched a ton of VH1 when I was in high school so all the songs that really annoyed me as a kid were these types of shit dad rock like Default and Vertical Horizon and Train.

I remember Taproot one of those bands that everyone got into for like 2 months when I was in high school. I recall being at the mall once with my friend and seeing this pretty girl dressed head-to-toe in Taproot stuff. I assumed from then until a few weeks later that they were the new Linkin Park. Their merch was on-sale at Hot Topic that's for sure.

Default was just horrific and nobody ever liked them.

Pink Floyd are the ultimate dad band. I think the main reason I don't really care for them is because I don't have any kids.

I was friends with a girl in college and the only time I met her dad he sat around the apartment with us and shared stories of his times smoking weed and tripping on acid at a Pink Floyd show. Then he gave his daughter his old roach clip. He opened with this story. Like he came in, asked us if we listened to music, and then just went off for 20 minutes.

It was a really fulfilling experience for me as a person.
