Do you think he knows that PSG didn't win the league last year?

Juventus have confirmed the signing of Douglas Costa from Bayern Munich. The Brazilian arrives on an initial season-long loan with an option to buy. Juve have paid €6m (£5.3m) for the loan agreement and must trigger their option before June 30, 2018 to sign the player permanently for a further €40m (£35m). That fee may rise by another €1m (£890,000) depending on performance clauses.

Stoke have completed the signing of teenage winger Tre Pemberton from Blackburn Rovers.

Real Sociedad have signed the Manchester United winger Adnan Januzaj for a reported fee of £9.8m. United have installed a buy-back clause in the deal for the 22-year-old Belgian, who has agreed a five-year contract.

Stoke are leading the chase to sign Kurt Zouma on loan from Chelsea, according to Sky sources. It is understood that Zouma will sign a new Chelsea contract and be loaned out immediately. Stoke are offering to pay his wages for the season having held talks over the move yesterday.

Sky sources understand Sunderland have made a £900,000 bid for Bury striker James Vaughan.

French international right-back Sebastien Corchia is set to join Spanish side Sevilla from Lille, according to AFP. The agreement reached between the two clubs should see Sevilla pay €5m (£4.4m) for the 26-year-old, who will sign a four-year contract.

Tianjin Quanjian have agreed a deal worth up to €35m to sign Cologne striker Anthony Modeste. The arrangement is believed to be a €6m loan with a €29m option to buy. West Ham tried to sign Modeste at the end of last month but had a £20m offer rejected.

Sky sources understand PSV Eindhoven are interested in taking Chelsea midfielder Marco van Ginkel on loan again.

Tiémoué Bakayoko will undertake a full medical at Chelsea on Friday after the payment structure on a deal worth up to €45m (£39.7m) was agreed with Monaco to secure the France midfielder.

The 22-year-old underwent keyhole surgery to clean out one of his knees at the end of the French domestic season and is in rehabilitation. Chelsea are confident Bakayoko will not require a further operation but, while the player is able to conduct the medical and complete his transfer, the medical department consider him to be at least six weeks from being in contention to feature for the first team.

They will scrutinise the knee more fully during the tests but do not expect to find any long-term issue. Yet Bakayoko will be well behind his club-mates in terms of preparation for the new season, meaning he is unlikely to play for Antonio Conte’s team before the first international break, potentially missing the Community Shield fixture with Arsenal and the top-flight games against Burnley, Tottenham Hotspur and Everton.

The French title winner had made it clear from an early stage that his preference was to move to Chelsea, and Monaco received no other firm bids. However, negotiations over the structure of the deal, combined with Bakayoko’s knee issue, have delayed the move. Chelsea hope to confirm the deal before the squad depart on Monday for a three-game tour of east Asia. Although the Frenchman will not be able to play, he is expected to travel and continue his rehabilitation in China and Singapore.

His arrival may prompt the departure of the unsettled Nemanja Matic, although Chelsea will resist selling the Serb to Manchester United. Talks with Matic over a new contract have failed to reach a resolution, with the Premier League champions prepared to cash in on the 28-year-old, who would be available for a similar fee to that paid for Bakayoko. Internazionale have been credited with an interest, and Chelsea would be happiest selling Matic abroad.

Talks continue with Juventus over Alex Sandro and with Real Madrid over Álvaro Morata and the Brazil right-back Danilo. Conte has welcomed Willy Caballero and Antonio Rüdiger to the ranks, although the latter has been granted time off this week following his participation in the Confederations Cup with Germany.

Now, Sky sources are reporting that Everton have had a bid in the region of £40million rejected for the Iceland international. It is understood that Swansea are holding out for a potential buyer to meet their £50m valuation, which they believe could be met with the inclusion of add-ons in any deal.

West Ham striker Enner Valencia has joined Mexican side Tigres for an undisclosed fee.

You what!? Nearly a million quid for a nearly 29 year old Bury striker?

As for Sigurdsson, I'm confident a deal will happen. Clement said last night he could see him going, and any player 'not in the right frame of mind' (considering he played in a friendly last night) has had his head turned.

Yeah, Sigi will be moving on for sure - it's purely a function as to where. I'd love us to resign him but sadly I don't see it happening.

Monaco defender Kamil Glik has signed a one-year contract extension with the French champions. The 29-year-old Poland international, who had been linked with Tottenham, has committed his future to Monaco until June 2021.

If this happens, I think Ma may knock @Just Relegated's block off.

He did a Defoe last season, scored a bucket load of goals for a team that were down at the bottom for ages.

The prospect of starting the season with Kante and Cesc as our only two central midfield players (Matic sold, Chalobah sold, Bakayoko injured), with games including Tottenham and Everton almost immediately, leaves me rather unnerved.
