  1. I believe Liverpool have been using some sort of AI-driven injury detection software in recent years. Not sure how successful that has been at all really.
  2. Some sort of AI-driven tech thing it seems. They have one of those websites that is full of jargon that doesn't really leave you any more clear on what they do than you were before.
  3. Paul F Tompkins pointed out on some podcast a while ago that country songs now are always listing things. And he's not wrong
  4. I've never really used Spotify personally. I'm also kinda settled into just listening to the same musicians I've listened to for the last 15 years and I don't really buy many albums anymore. At most, I buy 1 album a year. So don't really know what hill I would die on. I like Garth Brooks' In The Life of Chris Gaines more than I really like any of his other work. But it's not great. So I'm not willing to die on the hill. I might be willing to die on the hill of "Billy Joel's best album is Glass Houses". Sleeping With The Television is probably one of his best lesser-known songs. I'm a firm believer that Johnny Cash's cover of Hurt and the album it comes from are just OK. It's certainly got a really impactful music video The album before that American III: Solitary Man is much better. The song choices are overall much stronger and his voice hasn't deterorated quite as much from ill health.
  5. He was from the same part of Dublin as Sheamus.
  6. that if i only could id make a deal with god and get him to swap our places
  7. I think the only Charlton Heston movies I've seen really are Planet of the Apes and Touch of Evil. I can't recall the former very well. He's fine in Touch of Evil but I honestly forgot he was in it until just now. I only really ever think of Welles and Janet Leigh.

    Big Bang Theory

I grew to hate this show. At one point I did watch the pilot. The main plot was Sheldon and Leonard considering selling their sperm. Bazinga indeed.
  9. Feels like the Chelsea equivalent of if hitting the post counted as a goal.
  10. I'm surprised to learn that 2 Broke Girls ran until 2017 because I completely forgot about it. I only ever knew 1 person who liked it.
  11. They blew up the chicken man AND his house too?

  12. those are pretty spot on i haven't heard Roiland doing the voices in so long that I'm not even sure I could tell there was a different person doing the voices if I didn't know
  13. Still tinkering with this database and in my most recent test Finn Harps got relegated from the First Division to the Ulster Senior League. Which was bad news for Finn Harps USL team but great news for Milford United
  14. There's an argument to say you can get away with that kind of a strategy a lot easier if your are a club like Brighton where there isnt the the expectation that you'll spend big money on players. Whereas at a larger club if you're not spending money there'll a section of your fanbase up in arms online about it. The desire for instant gratification is higher the bigger the expectations of the fans. That said Liverpools team yesterday had Andy Robertson, Curtis Jones, Harvey Elliot, Joel Matip, Stefan Bajčetić, Caoimhin Kelleher, Jerill Quansah and Joe Gomez. All of whom came in for low fees, free transfers or are youth academy graduates. Not all nailed on starters but mostly decent squad options some with room to improve.
  15. Yeah, real sad that he's being paid 400k a week and living in the wealthiest municipality in Germany with access to a private jet.
  16. He actually came on against Newcastle! I'd never heard of him before that Apparently he's 20, a centre back, and he spent the back end of last year on loan at Bristol Rovers.
  17. Its also kinda weird that South Africa remains the only African league available by default.
  18. Its kinda weird they didn't. Was there ever a particular reason why they lost the rights to the J league in the switch over from CM to FM?
  19. I don't want to give him too much money. He got sacked from his last sports CEO role because of a Facebook comment. He's also been the quizmaster at a local pub quiz for a long time now and he has not yet learned how to speak into a microphone properly. Not to mention he always uses the most low-resolution photos for his picture rounds.
  20. Im still tweaking and testing this FM23 Celtic Tiger database. Alexis MacAlllister signed for St Patrick's Athletic in one test. For some reason they're a magnet for players. Can't figure out why. While Shamrock Rovers repeatedly appoint Ralph Hasenhüttl. Although Poch got appointed in one. At the moment Im just tweaking things and trying to combat issues that arose in the FM16 game. Maybe make it a little more competitive. The AI clubs in my FM16 save were also lot less willing to spend from the start. I think I've gotten them to stop that. Im not sure how much further to push it. Im also looking at what could be interesting to set myself up in with a club. If I do start with Parkvilla, they'll be starting from the third tier. Which could be interesting. Ive also got my own actual local team edited in (a former head of the FAI lives locally and is their IRL chairperson - he has been quoted in the past about wanting to make the club a League of Ireland club). I probably will just leave them but not manage them. There's also Kerry. Kerry are only newly formed and I like the idea of making them into something.
  21. Football Manager should only be played on a desktop or laptop. Anything else is just wrong.
  22. Generally I don't really think those cartoons are that funny but I did enjoy that one.
  23. Its highly unlikely to be an issue for the billionaire clubs. The ones most effected by this are amateur clubs. Which makes it worse.
  24. I managed to fix it. The exact same issue happened when I made my FM16 Parkvilla save initially. I just removed all the teams registered for the competition in the editor and added them all back in and it worked. I've been testing an improved version of my FM16 game in FM23. On FM16, I was a little more conservative with meddling with reputations. This time I'm upping reputations and setting supporter demands or whatever it is to "sign high-profile players". It's certainly leading to massive spending a lot faster than in FM16. In three tests, Bohemians have signed Dom Solanke for 40million. In one St Pats Athletic signed Aubameyang and Harry Maguire and got to the last 16 of the Champions League in the 2nd season. The main issue I'm having is that because there are so many Leinster based teams, inevitably, more teams get relegated from the First Division form Leinster than the Leinster Senior Division can hold. While there are fewer teams from Ulster that can be relegated to the Ulster Senior League. So you end up with teams located in the east of the country playing in the north. Come to think of it, who knows what happens when a team from Connaght gets relegated. There is no Connacht Senior League. I assume they'd just go to the Ulster Senior League. I've read threads on the SI forums about getting regional relegation to work but I cannot understand it. So I'll just live with it.
