Roster Depth Sicko No. 2

Recommended Posts

Been spinning this EP a fair bit the last few weeks -

Sort of a mix of African guitar and percussion tastefully mixed with light electronics associated with house/dance. Very chilled stuff.

The Postal Service might be back too?

EDIT: It was a Zoom video where they audition celebrities and musicians, and acts as a PSA for HeadCount.org. Fuck my life.

I was surprised to find out recently that AC/DC are a lot younger than I expected. I thought that because they are all pretty haggard-looking and had been around the since the early/mid 70s they would be in their mid 70s, but Angus Young and his brother and Phil Rudd are only in their mid-60s, which is barely anything for hard rock acts these days. Obviously Brian Johnson is a bit older and has apparently had his issues but he sounds fine in that recording.

Also, Linkin Park have announced a deluxe box set to celebrate the 20th anniversary of Hybrid Theory which gets you the album, the Re-animation remix album, an album of B-Sides, an album of LP Underground exclusive tracks, an album of demos; the Hybrid Theory and Re-animation albums on vinyl alongside the original Hybrid Theory EP on vinyl (first release!); three live DVDs, and a load of extra artwork and photo book stuff. It's £155 for the big bundle, and whilst one half of me is put off by the price, a bigger part of me is screaming WANT.

IT'S HERE.

If anyone needs me I'll be back in the year 2000.

Brian left the band and was replaced by Axl Rose because his doctors told him that he would go deaf if he continued to tour. But he says that he found a specialist who tried some kind of experimental treatment on him that apparently did the trick.

What's everyone's top few albums so far for 2020 then?

I think it will likely be Fiona Apple's Fetch the Bolt Cutters. But I have really enjoyed Lady Gaga's Chromatica. It is such a fun album.
