Still, it's an impress feat that they sit 3rd in their group (Portugal top, Slovakia 2nd) ahead of Iceland, Bosnia and Leichtenstein. Path A: Croatia, Poland + 2 Path B: Israel, Bosnia +2 Path C : Georgia, Greece, Kazahkstan + 1 -- Where it says that if a Path doesn't have enough teams it takes from League D's best first, then next best available, do we assume to start at Path A first and work rightwards? Which by the next World Cup they're possibly in will have been 20 years. It's such a weird era because they've won a World Cup, reached two Euro finals winning one, and yet for a lot of people it just feels like their standard has dropped so dramatically from what we expect Italy to be. If Moldova can get the win leapfrog Poland and Czechia and THEY WILL QUALIFY! Similarly, if Kazahkstan win away to Slovenia, they will overtake them and qualify too.
