The Place Where Fallout Purists Whine

Recommended Posts

Arcade is quite the looker.

Plus, unlike Boone, who denies his manlove instincts towards Manny Vargas, Arcade is distinctly not in the closet.

After some time with New Vegas - I really have to say that it measures up to be a far better game than Fallout 3 in my books. I am currently enjoying my second playthrough as a minimally violent speech, barter, repair and science specialist - though I am building up my unarmed skill to protect myself before I run into a companion.

I cant recruit any followers and is there a reason why the gang in Silver Rush would just randomly shoot at me when I walk in the door?

You have to speak to the guards outside.

You know, after a while, one has to wonder why NCR thinks they are at a disadvantage. I've witnessed a few skirmishes between them and Legion and NCR always wins with few or no casualties.

She's probably talking about the first time you go in.. don't walk past those guards, watch the scene that is going on and once they disperse, you'll be fine to go in further.

You're right. There were 2 guards on each side and I walked right past them trying to get to what I thought was the vendor

I agree. Who brings a knife to a gun fight.

Oh, and while I was tempted to put this in spoilers, its a bit of a bug so Ill say it here.

If you Have Ed-E at a friend at one point certain people want a closer look at him. Make sure to take all the things youve handed him before you do. He will lose them when you get him back.

Someone beat the game without killing anyone. No shit.

I love my cannibal character :D

The McBrides in Novac? After helping them, I murdered them with a sledgehammer (I am now using the sword the Mutants carry around)....then when they were dead? I proceeded to explode their head, arms and legs, and then laid them in their bloody, bloody bed. They looked so peaceful ^_^

Also, I made a dead Nightkin cuddle a dead ghoul.

....I have issues.

And I have no idea how anyone would get through this game without killing....hard!

The deathclaws patrolling the makeshift Great Kahn camp really complicates the last part of my sabotage mission, goddamnit. And, the hostile robots in Mr. House's penthouse make it difficult to go any further in that mission. My only companions are Rex and Cass. I still have to find Jacobstown and get Rex fixed. I hate the fucking mountains, right down to the Super Mutants and Nightkin that are all over the place.

My Lemmy inspired character, Bill, is currently serving Caesar, with the intention of screwing over everyone in the end. Well, I hope I can do that, anyway. I'm trying to finish all of these quests that I still have open, but couldn't complete a few levels back. Off the top of my head, there is the Vault 22 one, killing the Nightkin in the basement of that one building, and about 6 others :shifty:

That's why you use sneak mode, and make sure you're hidden.

I told Cass and Rex to wait behind while I went out and cleared the mine....whatever it's called of the Deathclaws. Only have a few left, I was running out of ammo just killing the mother and her babies and the Alpha Male, and maybe one or two regular Deathclaws. Fun stuff, getting on top of a crane and snipping. Feels like I'm playing Halo, hahaha.

FINALLY managed to get to the Boomers, by watching a tutorial of how to avoid being blown to bits. All of their quests they give you are easy as shit, it's kind of disappointing. I think after I do everything for them and report back to Yes Man I'm going to find Cass and Rex :shifty: and attempt to explore Vault 22 again.
