It's officially the weirdest/funniest thing I've seen in football, probably ever. Why on earth would the Reading player be trying to hook it back into the six-yard box if it was a goal?

I would feel sorry for the linesman if he was on the other side of the pitch, but where the ball is supposed to cross the line is the side the linesman is on (both right on the video). So, what can you say? There is congestion, but if you see a ball go past the post, you generally get an idea.

What's worse is that the football league are now saying they won't be replaying the game. So, it stands. The "Phantom Goal" might come to haunt Watford.

I'll go one better...

I would feel sorry for the linesman if when the ball appeared to cross the touch-line, it was actually a defending player playing the ball back into the congested box. When the ball supposedly crossed, the Reading player tried to prevent it going out and crossed the ball back into the box.

Now surely, if the linesman had any sense, he'd know that if the ball was close to or just crossing the line, the attacking (Reading) player would just help the ball into the net, not stop it going in.

At last a convincing victory!

Barnsley have just broke some record, bringing on a boy who's just turned 15 on from the bench.

Magilton's just taken a bit of pressure off himself.

This guys younger than me. Apparently hell be in the squad tomorrow, will be a first to go watch a footie match where someone younger than me is playing!

In the end I left just as he was coming on, we were awful today, something needs changing, or else we can fast forward to next August when were back where we belong.

I don't get why teams are so concerned with breaking the record for young players. At the end of the day isn't that admitting 'we've got such a shite team that we're resorting to picking 14 year olds'. Although this will mean that as soon as his contract expires he'll go to some Premier League team for some reason.
