Is/has anyone watched Bates Motel on Universal channel? Holy fuck it's creeping me out.

Burn Notice series finale.

Loved all the cute little callbacks. "What'll I tell him?" "Start with 'My name is Michael Westen, and I used to be a spy.' "

Fairly strong series finale overall, but the one thing I haaaaaaate hate hate is the sappy "oh look the main characters live happily every after forever" endings. I suppose I knew that BN would end that way, but I wish it was at least left ambiguous whether Michael and Fi died or not. Instead, during Mike's funeral we get FLASHBACK TO THEM ESCAPING TERRIBLE CG EXPLOSIONS so you know they're okay. Blah to that.

Sharon Gless getting her own badass moment was pretty great too.

I was nearly in tears at Sharon's death in all honesty. Completely agree with the flashback bit during the funeral of them escaping, apart from that, it was a good episode, and I'll definitely miss it.

Considering USA is developing a spinoff with him and Jesse, Sam was always going to live.

It is okay. It would've been better without the Hitchcock tie-in... but then again, I probably wouldn't have watched it without the Hitchcock tie-in.

Matt Nix said in an interview after the finale that he is interested in doing something with them but there is no talks with USA and for fans to not hold their breath

Speaking of Avatar, I've heard really good things, and I'm interested in getting into it. Does Legend of Korra stand on its own, or should I watch The Last Airbender first(the show, not the movie).

Watch The Last Airbender first. It's not necessary but it makes Korra better.

I watched the first episodes of both Bates Motel and Under the Dome last night. Both very watchable.

How good/bad do these get?

I've heard Under the Dome gets really dumb but I've only watched the first two episodes.

Bates Motel gets sort of weird. Never really redeems the whole "supporting cast is more interesting than the main character" thing it has going on though...

Hrm, I've got both saved in my planner and was going to check them out, but I might just free up some space if that's the case. I don't think Bates Motel has it easy since it'll essentially be going up against Hannibal in the comparisons, because Hannibal was wonderful.

I didn't see Hannibal, but if Hannibal was mostly about Hannibal Lecter, then they're different enough because Bates Motel is not mostly about Norman Bates.
