Gene Kiniski
I could have made a very solid case of the decision going the other way, but at the same time I can fully agree with Davis picking up the win there. Who was the referee there though? He could have improved his position a bit during the low blow claims.
Guest Mr. Potato Head
...those of you watching in Canada, we now present a picture of an iPhone interspersed with a test pattern.

Guest Mr. Potato Head
After that and a still picture of a man laying on grass spread-eagle (I think from a beer commercial), we're back in time for Pulver/Vasquez.
Guest Mr. Potato Head
Oh Jens, please retire before you become a smaller Don Frye or Ken Shamrock, embarrassing yourself.
Gene Kiniski
Jens didn't look bad at all in that fight.
Guest Mr. Potato Head
...and now we're seeing a wide shot of the cage rather than commercials. Small Pulver chant, sounds like he might be crying. Oh now commercials.
Guest Mr. Potato Head
Jens didn't look bad at all in that fight. He didn't look bad, but he's obviously not what he was even a few years ago...WEC curtain-jerkers would be competitive with him at this point. reyrey619
At least his shirt is really cool.
Gene Kiniski
That was probably one of the most moving speeches I've heard. I want the guy to go out with a win so badly I can feel it.
reyrey619
Wow that was brutal. Great submission.
Gene Kiniski
I read the prelim results prior watching and was really confused by MMAJunkie's line "the fight is waved off when the fighter leaves his feet and frantically taps". Brutal indeed. Jorgensen is easily becoming one of my favorite fighters to watch.
Guest Mr. Potato Head
Benavidez with the upset! Anyone else hear the huge crowd reaction when they separated and the audience first saw all the blood?
reyrey619
That cut was disgusting. I think they would have ended the fight even if he didn't get the submission. Either way, great upset, and the era of Miguel Torres' invincibility is sadly a thing of the past.
Gene Kiniski
As if Team Alpha Male didn't already look solid enough.
reyrey619
A broken hand, a broken nose (it looked broken at least) and some sore legs after those brutal leg kicks...Brian Bowles got fucked up.
Gene Kiniski
It seems that people are hating on Bowles in other places, but I think he made the smart decision. Way too much people try to fight through injuries to please fans, but it is going to take good calls like this to help the sport continue to expand in a wider range of acceptability. Plus, who knows how much damage he would have done if he had continued to fight through the break.
Guest Mr. Potato Head
He made the right call in quitting. Obviously he'll get a rematch at some point, and we'll find out if the hand injury really was a valid excuse.
