Dries Mertens just became the all-time leading goalscorer for Napoli (122). You'd think that even if Higuain or Cavani had extended their stays by another year or so, they'd have eclipsed that amount quite easily.

I would've thought Maradona would have held the record that Mertens broke but he didn't even eclipse 100 at Napoli and I think for most of people that's the club he's mostly associated with.

Werder Bremen needed to win today, have Dusseldorf lose, and make up a 4 goal swing to avoid automatic relegation and qualify for the Relegation Playoff. Dusseldorf lost 3-0, Bremen won 6-1. Huge goal swing there!

Would be pretty shameful to go and lose the playoffs now.

Especially considering the very real potential that we play HSV in the playoff for a relegation Nordderby.

*Just to clarify, the GD was only for if Dusseldorf drew their game - A win by Werder and a loss by any score by Fortuna was enough to send them down.

Thank you Union Berlin 😍

No, 4 points. Barca have 3 draws since the restart. And the only time I see Real potentially dropping any points is against Villarreal, but they can afford to lose a game and still win it. Real also have the better head to head, so Barca effectively need a 5 point swing.

Regarding Barca though, they scored some tasty goals last night. Suarez and Griezmann both scored first half belters.

Lucas Ocampos with the game of the season, scoring the winning goal, then becoming goalie when Sevilla keeper Valchik got injured. He then saved the last second shot by Eibar’s keeper to secure the win in the 100th minute of the game. What a game. La Liga is so much fun.
