While you may disagree with it for being unfair, the truth is they didn't bend the rules for them. The rules were already there in the first place. The spanish FA allows any team to sign another player outside of the transfer market if there's a season ending injury to one of their players.

 

Granted, Leganes are screwed because they can't do the same, even though they also lost a player for the remainder of the season. And the reason is, he wasn't injured.

This is, in my opinion, nonsensical and the worst part of the ruling.

Oh it's unquestionably the rule that needs changing. 

It's even worse in a league where release clauses are mandatory, so it's not as if Leganes could have turned down the offer if they wanted to. Only Braithwaite has that power and let's be honest, he's not going to turn down the chance to play for Barca so he's blameless in this.

He's had the worst debut season of any Galactico ever, surely? Hell, maybe the worst season of any big signing ever maybe? Fernando Torres at Chelsea might have had a better first season 😂 

It's not like it's Hazard's fault entirely either. He's had just rotten luck with injuries. I feel bad for him.
