Monterrey are laughable.

Just to put things into prospective, how well do you think they would fair in the MLS?

Didn't Monterrey win the North American equivalent of the Champions League? AKA Beating out MLS teams?

Monterrey only actually played against one MLS team in their winning CONACAF CL run; they were in the same group as the Seattle Sounders and lost 1-0 at home before winning 2-1 away. They finished top of the group on 12 points, ahead of Seattle's 10.

All the other MLS teams were knocked out by other teams, several by other...presumably worse...Mexican teams. :shifty:

If I watch a football game from Irish teams it's semi-pros with about League One/Two level of talent or less, therefore I feel can't adopt a superior attitude to Mexican, MLS or any other football because of this.

What happened to Flamengo and Vasco De Gama? They were my favourite Brazilian teams as a kid.

Both are deep into shit. Flamengo this year fought against relegation, and their only good player is Vágner Love. Vasco are in deep financial trouble, lost ALL of their key players(specially Juninho), and now are into rebuilding process, but the problem is they have no money.
