Yeah that is going on, the board was down when the volcano erupted. Gonna be a long battle, I'm sure the players will appeal these suspensions and everything. Either way, it's safe to say me unloading Braun for Cespedes, Marte, and Prado in my keeper league was a "sell high" moment.

Collins should be fired by now, but he won't be. I'm not even sure Alderson deserves to work the final year of his contract.

Alderson inherited a mess. I don't know if he'll turn it around but he definitely should get at least the length of his contract to right the ship. From 2007-2011 Andy MacPhail put in the majority of the pieces that are currently starring for the Orioles. He was not retained, and then 2012 happened. I won't say MacPhail would have been the guy to bring in Gonzalez, Hammel, or McLouth but Davis, Jones, Tillman, and others are all guys he wanted to build the team around. He also didn't trade Markakis when everyone seemed resigned to the fact that he'd have to be dealt to bring in more prospects. It's often very hard to tell how much good work a GM has done until everything just clicks.

That said, Collins is nowhere near the level of manager as Showalter. A change there would be perfectly understandable.

Maybe never, he's always had the power and just developed plate patience this year because of how good a hitting instructor Jim Presley is. Joey Bats had a similar late blossoming.
