Hornswoggle4PM
How much longer until a declaration? 514 up and getting towards the halfway point of the last session now.
Baddar
I was going to come in and be positive by saying - "bat out the final day, take the draw." And then I realised there's still two days and 180+ overs to be bowled. :/ Onto the 2nd Test!
Matt
We had almost no chance when we were put in to bat, Carberry and in particular Trott getting out means all we can do now is try to make it respectable

Slogger
*smug* *Extremely Smug* But could of just as easily been a draw. Weather has been woeful here the last week, There was a massive thunderstorm in the city not too long after stumps last night and more of the same but add in some hail too this morning for the CBD and the Southside (Thankfully I wasn't home, Been hit in the head with enough hail this week.) Cautiously optimistic about Adelaide.
Hornswoggle4PM
Very good win, 4 strong bowling performances and a few standout innings from Clarke, Warner and Haddin. If Anderson and Swann don't get going soon I'm beginning to think the Aussies are a serious chance to win the series.
Plubby
I wouldn't be surprised to see England win the second test, the pitch, the conditions, the bounce-back aspect of England. A lot of things point to them doing well. Australia will be relying on their momentum, but let's not fool ourselves - three and a third torrid days does not make this a bad English team. Perth will be the real make-or-break game of the series. Which is fortunate for me as a WACA member
Gazz
I joined the Western Australia North Korean Association when I was in Perth... Trott has left the tour due to 'stress'.
Hornswoggle4PM
Yeah, sounded quite serious really. Not sure if I heard right but they were questioning whether or not he'd be coming back to cricket any time soon.

Baddar
I hope Trott gets well soon. Also, David Warner is a cunt.
Admin Lineker Posted December 4, 2013 Admin Report Share Posted December 4, 2013 Well, we can't do much worse! Rumour doing the rounds is that Joe Root will indeed bat at #3.

Plubby
They've scored a lot more than 54.6! Write the score properly, it's 5/273!
Hornswoggle4PM
Good comeback from England in the second session which should put them slightly ahead, but it was certainly helped by some real lapses of concentration from Warner, Watson and Bailey. Good to see both of the newer entries into the team showing they have what it takes to bat at international level though.
Hornswoggle4PM
Mitch Johnson on fire! 7/40 in and twice was on a hat-trick. Unfortunately we won't see a follow-on called despite the Aussies having a 350+ run lead going into the second. Also, am I the only one who's finding Shane Warne to be even more annoying than usual?
