okay, tuned in late. Why was Harry Kane taking free kicks? Why was Harry Kane taking corners?

Because apparently England was secretly replaced with a USL side and nobody noticed.

The bigger question is having not watched the games in between the World Cup and Euros, why was Roy still in charge?

Because continuity equals success. The existence of Sir Alex Ferguson proves that this is always the case and no suggestion of context or evidence to the contrary can prove otherwise.

Well done Iceland fully deserved.

I wish we just overhauled everything. Get a manager who has more than one play and picks players that suits the team rather then the big named English players.

Italy is the perfect example: that team isn't full of superstars but it's filled with great players that suit the teams tactics.

England is just square pegs of shite in round holes with an old out dated manager who is behind the times and has no fucking idea of what he is doing or has any idea of what his team is going to do.

And will keep putting Rooney in the first team even when he's 80 years old and spends most of his time off pitch in a coma state like The End in MGS3

The fact that Ian Wright is saying that it's all down to application and motivation is just another symptom of the classic English delusion: to say it's not about how good your tactics or organisation or skills are - it's about whether you have the passion to try hard enough (preferably with a lot of shouting, for good effect). Such insight.

Everyone knows Ian Wright is only there so that ITV can connect with the misguided youth.

Part of it has to be down to tactics though. Things like not playing Rooney in central midfield and having Harry Kane taking every free kick and penalty are just the basics..

Roy Hodgson has just said the players have been "fantastic"

Is there an opening available in the African Cup of Nations?

We'd find a way to get beat Burkina Faso.
