They literally threw everything at Madrid that first half. Really frantic opening 20 and it was working. Set themselves up nicely for the rest of the game, perhaps they could have calmed it down slightly once they got the second. 

It was a lapse in concentration though, Godin was too rash in closing Benzema down the way he did. Basically told him to run towards the byline. Great dribble but it could have been avoided.
