Full WWE 2k18 Roster Rundown: (From 2K Forum!)

Hello WWE Universe!

As I had mentioned briefly before I wanted to confirm with you all the base game roster as well as the currently announced DLC for WWE 2K18.

Below is a list of the Superstars for WWE 2K18. This list is organized into 4 categories: Male, Female, Manager only, and Additional Content.

I know that rosters are always the subject of much discussion, but I hope you will enjoy WWE 2K18’s base game roster.

Just remember though, who knows what surprises are in store for the rest of the DLC ; )

As before, 1 line is one slot, and " / " means it's an alternate attire when selecting that Superstar in character select.

I feel like they have the right intentions, but they miss the point a lot on what we're looking for.

Each character in the game should have two attire slots, with entrance/victory settings being separate for both if you want. Then you get Finn Balor and The Demon King in one slot, because other than his entrance and attire, everything else is the same.

Edited attires also shouldn't take up a CAW slot. That's some bullshit, right there.

Instead of giving us five versions of Sting, realistically, we only need 1 Surfer Sting with two attires... 1 Crow Sting with 2 attires... and then Wolfpack Sting and modern Sting could probably be in the same character slot as well. His moveset didn't change a whole lot.

Transparency would also help out a lot in regards to their customer relations. When they just keep porting over characters, it makes no sense to the fans when someone was in last year's game, but not this year. If they were a current WWE superstar last year, and have since left the company, that kinda makes sense. But let's use Arn Anderson and Brian Pillman as examples. They were in 2k17, and were literally just ported from 2k16... but as of right now, they're not listed as being in 2k18. It would really be nice if 2K could let us know why. With the legends in particular, the amount of them shouldn't be decreasing unless contracts for usage have run out. Even then, it would be great of them to just come out and say "This specific character was not included with this year's game because of contractual reasons. We will continue to try and remedy that for future installments of the game, but you can enjoy the other returning superstars and this year's new additions"... some  shit like that.

None of this matters at all. Alt-attires are always going to take up space that could be used for CAWs because it's another thing in the game. You either get it this way where it gives you all the available space and lets you choose what to do with it or they cut it in half and hide half of it from you for attires. Same for the Stings. It's the same amount of space taken up but now you have to press down instead of over to access them. And before you try to start on with the moves and music, alt-attires were able to have their own music and moves in a couple of the old games. It's literally just a button press different and padding the roster list a bit.

This is what they've done in the past though, right? I am pretty sure when you choose Surfer Sting it takes you to a menu where you choose attire. I don't know if whoever typed the list up just messed that up but I was sure that was the way it was before.

There were 2 versions of Surfer Sting in 2k17. Sting '88 and Sting '91, which, aside from their appearance, I believe were exactly the same.

Needs more Big Boss Men.

Also, I hate Manager Only slots. I want to go back to the days of Smackdown 2 where they'd bothered to create a character model for Michael Cole so, damn it, you could play as Michael Cole! If they've created the character model, why not give them a rudimentary moveset and let us play as them? I'm not asking for WWF Attitude where Paul Bearer had an inexplicable somersault leg drop as his finisher, or the ECW games that let you play as Rob Feinstein, but guys they've already bothered creating graphics for should be playable. Even if he has the lowest stats in the world, shitty moves, and his finisher is a slap, I might want to play as a tracksuit-clad Paul Heyman. Even worse when it's somebody like DiBiase, who can wrestle. I can understand it from previous games when Hornswoggle was set as Manager-only, as there would be all sorts of collision detection and animation issues to consider if he had been a playable character, but for almost anyone else it's bullshit.

Or, if the Manager Only option must exist, then give us a way to set CAWs as manager only. I had a great Dario Cueto CAW for WWE 2k17, but I didn't want him wrestling, I wanted him managing Matanza. As far as I know, there wasn't a way to define that role.
