Wrexham are officially promoted again as well, going to League One. I would imagine they're not going to be able to get promoted again next season, as I don't think financially they'll be able to spend like they'd need to in order to get promoted. But who knows!

I do think it'll be harder because there are bigger teams with big budgets at that level that there simply aren't in League Two, but they're already paying players wages comparable with that level and I don't think it'll take them long to compete for a place in the Championship at all, thankfully.

Stevenage will probably appoint another cretin like Graham Westley again to be fair.

Evans is an atrocious bloke but you can't argue with his results, sadly. Worked wonders at Stevenage and did very, very well with Rotherham last time around too.

I'm going to surprise you, I hate Steve Evans again! In fairness, we knew something like this would happen sooner or later and it's down to just hoping that whoever comes in next can keep things at least stable and that the team don't get completely gutted. He's done an amazing job and got us again punching well above our weight so enjoyed the good times while they lasted and just hope we don't fall apart again.

I cannot believe Doncaster Rovers.

2-0 down at half time in front of 10k at home, came back to win 4-2 late on against Play-Off rivals Barrow and make it nine wins in a row. It's now completely in our hands going into the last day, never known anything like it.

How do Doncaster fans feel about Grant McCann these days? He's obviously got them on a great run of form right now, but is there still any lingering resentment about the time he left them to join Hull? Can you trust him not to do something similar in the future?

Semi EFL (and also because I can't be arsed to find the National League thread), Gateshead have been prevented from taking part in the playoffs due to ground issues. Ruddy council. Weirdly because they've already set the fixtures 5th place Solihull have been given a bye to the final while 4th place Altrincham still have to play a semi.

Indeed. Highly motivating.

And I've just realised I massively mangled the playoff structure and forgot the quarter final stage...

Still find the "2 teams go up" silly.

Been a long time since that's been an issue. Probably last time was Stevenage? That was a little different as they deemed the ground good enough for England to play games at but not Darlington for... reasons but think that was the last time ground criteria became a problem. It's horrible for Gateshead as it prevents further growth while they try and fix things. Hopefully it doesn't hit the team and they can get things sorted in the future.

In other news, Blackburn with one of the great own goals against Sheffield Wednesday. One of the great comedies of errors.

The fans love him, and never wavered during our very bad form earlier in the season. Things have gotten so bad over the past few seasons that he was welcomed back with open arms. Things he said before coming back and when he did suggested he had reflected on the manner of leaving us in the lurch.

Can you trust him not to do it again? I don't trust any manager or player not to personally, but that's me.

I'm sorry to keep harping on about this, but also I'm not.

Doncaster have now equalled their club record of 10 wins in a row, set in 1947, with a 4-1 win at Colchester tonight. That's also three straight games scoring 4 goals.

It means that we are now 5th and in need of only a point at Gillingham on Saturday to confirm a Play Off place. All for a team who were 20th at the start of last month. I've never known anything like it.

That was nerve-wracking...the winning run is over bur Doncaster have made the Play-Offs and finished 5th.

2-0 up and cruising at Gillingham, the goalkeeper handballed outside the box and got sent off, they scored the free kick and then quickly equalised but Rovers held on to cap a remarkable storm up the table.

I'm already looking at train tickets to Donny
