The Place Where Fallout Purists Whine

Recommended Posts

No love? Cold. :(

Vault has evidence that suggests Utah will be the setting for the next DLC.

Love. I want it. If I ever man up it's not my first tattoo - that will be John Bonham's symbol - but I like.

Not much manning up to do, honestly; even the few hours I spent on my second design wasn't too bad. K came with, I only stopped to cry on her shoulder a few times and it was largely to look at her cleavage. >_>

Anyway, LL, it's a slow news month. Let's talk Fallout movies. Christ knows I've considered it.

Concept Art specialists Massive Black dropped a few blog posts featuring concept art from New Vegas and Fallout 3 DLC Mothership Zeta.

This one, which I assume is Ceaser's Tent atop the mount, is really nice.

This isn't directly Fallout related, but I both found it on a Fallout board, and thought that PA junkies might get a kick out of it:

I thought about getting a Fall Out game the other week but before I do, what's the chances of me liking one of these if I didn't really get into Elder Scrolls. I know they're entirely different settings and so forth but I'm under the impression that otherwise they're somewhat similar games.

For Fallout 3, I was in exactly the same boat but ended up loving it. It's dirt cheap nowadays too so even if you end up not liking it, it won't have hit you too hard in the pocket.

I'm thinking of picking up New Vegas or Fallout 3 again but for anyone that still has Fallout New Vegas, is it still choppy and buggy? I don't want to get it again if that is unbearable but I'm not sure if they maybe fixed some of these issues.

I think the story of NV is better than 3, which side is 'good' is less clearly defined, so the decision making process is harder.

Fallout 3 is more like a stereotypical war game: it's us against The Enclave, now strap on that power armor and let's go fight!

New Vegas is far more open ended (although the option is there if you want to be a soldier of the NCR to play Deputy Doright) and allows for a much wider range of experiences.

Plus, who doesn't enjoy shooting up a room full of Elvis impersonators while dressed as a Roman general?
