The England thread

Recommended Posts

Tom Ince is a bit of a knob it seems.

I remember seeing a potential England under 21 team for the Euros if they played their full strength team in the summer and it was ridiculously strong. But knowing them, most of the good players won't go and everyone will be baffled as to why they're still shit in these tournaments at senior level.

Off the top of my head it could be,

Butland

Chambers - Stones - Jones - Shaw

Chamberlain - Wilshere - Barkley - Sterling

Berahino - Kane

Tom Ince seems like the biggest believer in his own hype.

I've no doubt that when Tom Ince is plying his trade in the Conference (ie. 2018), his dad will play the same race card he uses when talking about why he, as an abject failed manager of Macclesfield, MK Dons, Blackburn, Notts County and Blackpool, he doesn't get Premier League management jobs.

^ The rules are that players are eligible for the U21 Euros 2015 if they're born on or after January 1st 1992.

Phil Jones was born on February 21st 1992 and Jack Wilshere was born EXACTLY ON January 1st!

That's cheating.

They should have it be as soon as you turn 21, you're ineligible. Then they should start having matches take place as it passes midnight and then players would have to leave the match partway through.

If that was the case then the majority of the players that qualified would be ineligible for the actual tournament.

Just looking at the 2009 Germany side that spanked England in the semis. Comparing it to the England team that played that game is pretty interesting.

Neuer, Beck, Howedes, Boateng, Boenisch, Hummels, Johnson, Castro, Khedira, Ozil, Wagner.

Loach, Cranie, Richards, Onuoha, Gibbs, Cattermole, Muamba, Noble, Milner, Walcott, Johnson.

10/11 of the German team are now full internationals (2 with different nations) and 6 of them are World Cup winners!
