Powerhart
Mark Bocek vs. Ben Henderson is in the works for UFC 129, Phil Baroni has been cut by the UFC and, despite the recent news, MMA Junkie reports that Chael Sonnen vs. Yoshihiro Akiyama is in the works for UFC 128. bill_da_bill
Chael is a mess, but if the fight happens he'll run through Akiyama pretty easily I think. Akiyama isn't turning out to be the star eveyone assumed him to be, I'd rather see him fighting some up and coming mid level guys as a gatekeeper. I like the Henderson vs. Bocek match. It'll provide a good measuring stick for how Bendo stacks up against UFC lightweights and it'll be a step up for Bocek that he's been wanting. IzzyX
I hope Akiyama runs through Sonnen. Yeah, I said it.

Fitzy
With his third UFC loss in a row, Brandon Vera was cut. And also Antonio McKee and Marcus Davis. Nate Marquardt replaces Chael Sonnen in the fight with Yoshihiro Akiyama. Edited January 6, 2011 by Fitzy
IzzyX
With his third UFC loss in a row, Brandon Vera was cut. And also Antonio McKee and Marcus Davis. Did UFC just sign Antonio to give him his first loss in eight years?
Gazz
Not likely, the fight being boring as piss wouldn't have helped.
Guest Mr. Potato Head
UFC would have signed McKee earlier based on his credentials if not for his reputation as the most boring fighter in MMA. Once he put on an exciting fight, UFC signed him - but a loss in another extremely boring battle just exacerbated the situation.
DavidMarrio
Also signed him as a way to shut him up as he'd been saying he's the Ali of MMA, he'd beat BJ Penn, GSP etc etc etc so it was smart matchmaking really as if he couldn't beat a guy who ain't really a high/mid ranking lightweight with decent wrestling then it just shuns his record of 8 years unbeaten record in Danas eyes.
