Mad Max was fucking AMAZING. SO FUCKING CRAZY AND AMAZING.

If you've seen Fury Road and want to hear the backstory of CLEARLY THE BEST CHARACTER:

9964101ef12a583add70512689fa4cb4b7a56abd

Fast forward nearly five years and hes poised for a breakout. And if theres ever a Coma-Doof Warrior prequel, iOTA says that the origin story already exists. Before filming, the performer and Miller created a grim backstory for the character: He was a child music prodigy who watched as his mother, also a musician, was beheaded. The boy was then found by Fury Roads chief villain, Immortan Joe (Hugh Keays-Byrne), moms severed head still in hand. Joe adopted the boy, who continued playing and grew up to be Joes troop-rallying rocker.

And its a good thing we never get too much of a close-up on the character in Fury Road: iOTA says the mask hes wearing in the film, according to his and Millers backstory, is the face of his late mother, which he sliced from her skull. Told you it was dark.

Jeeeeeeeeeeeeesus.

Might be my favourite character ever.

Speaking of films starring Jesse Eisenberg,

Segel and Eisenberg have gotten rave reviews for this, so I'm very interested to see it.

I know. After I saw the trailer I started to kick myself for deciding to skip it when it was in town doing the festival rounds. Edited by livid

I watched that trailer totally expecting a buddy comedy film.

Cop Car is like the silliest name for a movie, but it looks so damn promising. Kevin Bacon should always have a mustache.

Holy shit.

The Rock is starring in a remake of Big Trouble In Little China.

OH MY GOD YES.

I seriously SERIOUSLY hope it's just as ridiculous as the original because that would be fucking amazing.

On my phone, but the new Macbeth trailer looks great.

Jimmy is right.

EDIT: Adding The Walk trailer here since I can't add it to the subsequent post.

There's also the Everest, 99 Homes, and The Walk trailers that look like varying degrees of entertaining. Like Jimmy I'm on my phone at work though.

I too am at work but I don't have any work to do so...

Added The Walk trailer to the previous post.

Of the three, I'm probably going to end up enjoying 99 Homes the most (Michael Shannon and Andrew Garfield in something other than Spider-Man? Sold.) but The Walk and Everest are doing some interesting things with 3D. And the Everest cast is impressive.

I was actually copy and pasting the links on my phone, think that's how I screwed up and posted the MI trailer instead of Everest, which looks amazing.

Pawn Sacrifice looks incredible too.

I think Everest looks like it could be fun, but like Livid said, the cast is crazy good and that's what's drawing me in most. And The Walk looks entertaining, but... and I guess I should really expect this to happen, but I don't know why they insist on adding stuff to the story that isn't true. The fact is the idea of him walking a tightrope from tower to tower is ALREADY absolutely terrifying and dramatic, no need to pretend like the wire started to break. Also, if you guys haven't seen the documentary about the guy, Man on Wire, you are doing yourself a disservice.
