In order of preference for those three, I want them in this order:

Appleton

Dickov

Saunders

But none of them are particularly who I want. I've heard that if Dickov is appointed he may bring in David Platt as his assistant. I'd be quite happy with that.

There is now talk that the press conference announcing our manager is to be delayed but will still take place today, and there are mutterings from the local press that a 3rd candidate is suddenly in the running.

In other words, the club can' decide who to appoint even after a planned and thought out interview and selection process.

How come it never worked out for him at Oldham? Last i heard he had them in the play offs or quite near to it.

I think you heard wrong because I don't remember them ever being near the play-offs.

He had a tiny budget at that club and three months before he resigned (which was just after they beat Liverpool in the cup) the board sacked his entire backroom staff for some bizarre reason, making his job even harder.

Normally i'd agree but after what Holloway said about us, he can get fucked to be honest.

I can't recall what he said about you, and I really like Holloway. He's a thoroughly decent bloke, entertaining and has proven himself a good manager. Palace have an exciting team too and I really want to see them back in the top flight.
