He did it skiing, which honestly sounds like something the kind of activity a lot of clubs would say you're not allowed to do because of how high risk it is for injuries.

Sucks for Neuer, but it's Bayern, so they're still going to piss the league without him.

That surprised me as well. It's in player contracts all the time that there are certain activities they can't do because of the potential for injury.

How do the powers that be look at how frequently that happens with him and just decide it's all okay?

Because elite level refereeing is about improving the spectacle and not the laws of the game. Been that way since the 2014 World Cup.

Edit: It occurs to me that maybe Lahoz is actually just applying the Laws of the Game, and it's most other referees that don't because, again, refereeing at the elite level is about making sure the game is good to watch, and not applying the Laws to the letter.

The prosecutors recommended 9 points so I would imagine on appeal, the deduction gets dropped to 9 max, but wouldn't be surprised to see less than that.

Even then, will almost definitely be the difference in missing out on Champions League football, I imagine

The Atlético Madrid winger Ángel Correa achieved the rare feat of being awarded a goal while on the substitutes’ bench as Diego Simeone’s side drew 1-1 with Getafe.

After the hosts missed a number of chances to take a first-half lead at the Metropolitano, Correa fired home on the rebound in the 60th minute – but saw the assistant’s flag raised. The Argentinian was promptly substituted by Simeone only for the referee, Antonio Mateu Lahoz, to award the goal following a lengthy VAR review.

That led to the unusual sight of Atlético players piling into the dugout to celebrate with Correa, who had already taken his seat on the bench. The goalscorer then watched on as his side failed to close out victory, with relegation-threatened Getafe claiming a point through Enes Unal’s late penalty after a Saúl Ñíguez handball.

“We didn’t score the second goal which would leave you calmer, and then gave away a penalty in a situation that was not dangerous. We need to keep improving,” Simeone told Dazn. “We tried in every way. Circumstances are sometimes unpredictable.”

Atlético stay in fourth and opened the gap to Villarreal and Real Betis, who both fell to surprise defeats.

PSG suspended Messi for 2 weeks because he went to Saudi Arabia without their permission. He's definitely leaving at the end of the season, and this will only fuel speculation he's going to join the rapist there for a fuck ton of blood money.
