I don't know if there's a bigger kick in the balls than watching a team that should have on paper gotten the job done in 90 minutes be completely fucking inept for the entire duration but since the underdog team cannot score to save their lives, the favorite just dicks around and eventually scores a goal in extra time to deny even the thrill of penalties.

That has been the last two matches. God.

Good god that Argentina side were poor today. Yes they won in the end but given their reputation and talent pool they shouldn't have had to take it to Extra Time. Messi's undeniably a great player, but even he can't carry an entire country to a World Cup. Whichever side wins the clash between USA & Belgium have a real chance to getting to the semi-finals at Messi's expense, because a more attacking-orientated side would have torn Argentina to shreds today
