I understand that some players in real life are nigh-on impossible to please, but I wish Sports Interactive could translate that better into the game. As it stands right now, illogical conversations like the one above are far too commonplace and make the whole player interaction system a waste of time. At least let them fall out over missing birthday cakes or something.

I started a game with Grimsby because my love for Rich knows no bounds.

Finished 2nd in the Conference with 93pts, enough to have won the real thing but 12pts behind a rampant Gateshead. So playoffs it was. Again. Beat Barnet 5-3 in the semis to face Bristol Rovers in the final, as was real life.

The Mariners were not to be denied this time though, two late goals sealing our promotion with The Shop winning a late penalty and tearing his calf in the process. What a legend.

Preseason was interesting. The chairman rebuked all my requests and then appointed Bobby Zamora as DoF. To maintain realism, I set him to be responsible for all transfers. It seems that since I appointed Michel Salgado as my U18's manager, Bobby has been going to him for signings as he's signed three really good Spanish players from the Segunda divisions and a fourth is on the way.
