It's only game one and I'm on the edge of my seat. Holy shit. I'm predicting no less than 3 extra inning games, Mets in 6 games.

Bartolo Colon now pitching for the Mets. He first appeared in the postseason in 1998, in a game Mike Stanley played in. Mike Stanley caught for Nolan Ryan. Nolan Ryan played for the 1969 Mets.

Ugh stayed up forever for that game.  Volquez's father died before the game and he went out there and pitched, can't even imagine what he was going through.

Game 2 tonight, a lot for the Royals will hinge on how good/bad Cueto is.  Mets should be happy if they can take it back to Citi Field tied at 1 a piece.

Well Cueto was not good, he was great.  Mets starters can put up great performance but they really needed at least 1 in KC and got none.

tsn just reported that alex anthopolous is out in toronto.

AA apparently turned down a five year extension. Must have not liked what he saw from Shapiro. I'd imagine that despite the news that Shapiro was coming in to basically just control the business side (renovations to Rogers Center, for example), that he must have been planning on being quite involved in the baseball operations. I'm a bit dissapointed but I'm not sure it'll be all that bad. Anthopolous's trades never look quite as good in retrospect. We lost the Mets trade. The Marlins trade was sort of a bust (although bringing in Reyes eventually got Tulo). I absolutely love Donaldson, but it wasn't exactly a steal. He let Danny Valencia go for nothing. 

I'm not as dissapointed with him leaving as I was when I first saw that he was gone.

Turned the tv to the game earlier in the 6th, but changed it in the top of the 9th.; Wish I hadn't.Found out it was in extras and put it back on in the middle of the 12th. Will be glad to see Kansas City finally win a World Series they deserve to win (They didn't in 1985; Don Denkinger handed them the game 6 win)

And regarding my comments before, this is the ONLY game of the series I've watched any of.
