Summer Transfer Window Thread 2015

Cabaye to Palace is a DONE DEAL. Still surprised by that one, he deserves so much better than playing for Crystal Palace at this point in his career.

Based off the past few seasons it's a step up from Newcastle

As great as that is, he's moving from PSG though. When he left Newcastle he could've walked into the Arsenal and Man United team, really surprised either didn't make a move then. He made a poor choice and made the move to the wrong club at the wrong time.

I still love the beautiful bastard and it's an amazing signing for Palace, it's just not where he should be playing.

Newcastle are also expected to complete a deal for Aleksandar Mitrovic alongside Wijnaldum today. Very happy with those two, Joel Matip, Charlie Austin and a few more now please!

Wijnaldum has already arrived at Newcastle for his medical. The fee was 14.5M.

Also, Newcastle have emerged as favourites for Marseille's Nicolas Nkoulou for a rumoured price of 7M.

According to the Dutch press, Wijnaldum is in Newcastle for contract talks.

RAFA TIME is ahead of Dutch time. :P

Its a great signing for Palace. But I do agree he could have went to better teams. Perhaps he wanted to work with Pardew again or be part of a challenge in helping push Palace up a level. With a few signings they could be a top 10 team.

To be fair it's also probably the reported £100k per week and living in London thing too! :P

That and the whole "big fish in a small pond" thing appeals to a lot of players.

Aleksandar Mitrovic is already at Tyneside, in advanced negotiations with Newcastle. It seems the deal will be done today, for a transfer fee of 18M euros, and a five-year contract.

Manchester City have begun talks with Liverpool over Raheem Sterling, according to Sky sources.

Glen Johnson is currently undergoing a medical at Stoke City. Fabian Delph is set to have a medical this weekend ahead of a move to Manchester City.

Stoke City have signed Marco Van Ginkel on a season-long loan.

There was someone on the Newcastle Reddit a few days back that posted

'Here is who we should sign, Mitrovic, Balanta, Marquinhos, Digne, Tielemans, Kranevitter, Khune, Humam Tariq'

and was roundly mocked before they deleted the thread.

Delph will end up back at Villa eventually. He will do what we did with Kaboul at Pompey a few years back!

Also Stoke are making some nice signings.

Nonsense, here's what happens: Delph signs for City, barely plays all season, we get promoted, he comes back on a year's loan, we then sign him and he comes home where he belongs. Milner follows shortly after.
