Mr. Slave was introduced in the Series 7 episode called "The Deathcamp of Tolerance," in which Mr. Garrison tried to get fired for being as outwardly homosexual as possible so that he could receive millions of dollars' worth of compensation. Claiming that "4th Graders are too old for Mr. Hat," he brought in Mr. Slave as a more effective means of showcasing his overt homosexuality.

Mr. Hat did briefly reappear in "201," though, at the request of Cartman.

The Ziplining episode was my favorite of this half, though this one is a solid entry in large part to Brad Paisley - of all people - turning up towards the end.

I still find myself at odds with the product placement and realism that have set a foothold in this show. Last week, it was the name-checking of Mountain Dew (other sodas have appeared, such as Dr. Pepper & Sprite), this week, it was the actual player likenesses of the Clippers & Nuggets. It hasn't affected the story-telling thus far, which I appreciate...but I don't know if I really care for too much realism in my South Park.

One thing I've been meaning to ask about South Park for the longest time(I've only ever really watched the show every so often).

How exactly did they transition from Mr Hat, to Mr Slave?

I know how Mr Hat was supposed to be a puppet representative of Mr Garrison's true self(so in theory he could just ditch Mr Hat like he did.....Mr Twig was it?) but there were a few episodes that hinted at Mr Hat being a sentient being.

Yeah I think we're kinda just meant to forget that, same as the occasions where the boys make references to Kenny dying all the time.

"Sarcastaball" is the eighth episode of the sixteenth season of the American animated sitcom South Park, and the 231st episode of the series overall. It will premiere on Comedy Central in the United States on September 26, 2012 and is rated TV-MA L. The episode focuses on the concussion epidemic in football, and depicts Randy Marsh implementing changes to the South Park Elementary football rulebook, creating a new version of the game that quickly becomes the nation's most popular sport, and which produces a particularly gifted student athlete, while Randy deals with a newfound inability to speak without irony or sarcasm.

On tonight in the US, and on Comedy Central in the UK on Friday.

I loved the tongue in cheek note that they themselves were the ones who lowered the bar, then were the ones to complain when it started to become a smarter and aware show. The entire thing was probably the best episode they've done in a fair few seasons barring Mysterion and Coon & Friends episodes.
