Watched some of the entrances. They fucked up Eva. How hard would it be to have her announcer as part of her entrance music track and mute Lillian? They'd have to give her a version without the intro too for post match but that's been done in these games before.

In fairness, the narrated version of her entrance is post-draft, which would generally be late to get in the game anyway.

But I know, they probably still wouldn't have done it.

The presentation and entrances are terrible! 

They couldn't even be bothered syncing up the music up to the entrance cues in all of them. Noticed in AJ Styles and Sasha Banks' ones that the tracks were just loosely added. It's ridiculous how poor they are after all this time. That's not even mentioning the souless audio in Carmella, Enzo and New Day's entrances and demon Dana Brooke model.

Quite a few of the women's models in particular seem off. We've discussed Alexa's before, and her awfully rendered hair, now we have that nightmare Dana Brooke and in one of the screenshots on that big preview that was linked on the previous page there's one showing Natalya and she looks half like bloody Pauline Quirke!

I really had high hopes for the franchise, since NBA 2K is consistently one of the best sports franchises out there. But geez, this does not look good.

Supposedly they've now got between 50 and 60 new generic themes in the game for CAWs.  This despite the fact that the feature people really wanted was getting custom themes back, especially since MLB The Show demonstrated that it's possible to rip music onto PS4 games via USB stick.

Also in features that nobody asked for: Filters for Create A Show for if you want your show to look like you're watching it on a bad VHS tape or like it has been taped in black and white. What the hell? The borken VHS thing is maybe novel for a couple minutes but it will get old as fast as the stupid film grain filter they used for last year's showcase mode.

It's telling that the more I see of this game, the less enthused I am for it. This is in contrast to the likes of Civ VI, which I want more with every youtube video I watch of it.

This will be left on the shelf until further notice, I think.

I'm actually headed the opposite direction with this one. I wasn't at all that interested (aside from having updated stuff, but I wouldn't go out and buy it just for that), but the improvements to Universe Mode are exactly what I wanted, and the level of customization has increased, so for me personally, the more they've announced, the more they're pulling me in.

As much as the presentation and entrances has annoyed me, the gameplay looks really solid this year.

They seem to have added a lot more crowd chants to this years as well which is welcome.

There have been a few videos of matches released. It does look a fair bit better this year, I think.

Yeah there's a ton of videos online now of various matches and multi man matches especially look good with that new roll out feature.

I guess I relate game play to actually playing the game.  I can see how a game looks in a video, but I don't have the ability to tell how a game plays until it's in front of me.
