6. Mindhunter
7. Rick & Morty
8. GLOW
9. Brooklyn Nine-Nine
10. Gogglebox (why not? It's a fun, easy watch)

The end of the year comes at the wrong time for me with this because I'm about to jump into a few shows for the first time such as The Punisher and Narcos. I'm also through two seasons of Fargo but can't really vote for it on the strength of that as I haven't seen this year's series. Scoured the net to try and jog my memory for some other stuff but can't find any other shows I've really enjoyed this year. Some stuff I've seen like Sherlock but don't think it at all deserves to be on a Best Of 2017 list, so I'll stick with these 10 for now and add in if I manage to get through some of the other shows on my to-watch list in the next week or two.

Best New Character: Bill (Doctor Who)

Unless you count Legion (which I don't), this is the first year in a while where I haven't included a "classic" superhero show in my list. I still watch them, but damn the fatigue is strong in that genre.

BoJack takes number one for the second year in a row. No show balances comedy and depression as well as that.

Good Place is the highest new show, with GLOW, Santa Clarita and Legion coming up with the goods also for new shows.

Vice Principals, Regular Show and Leftovers all hit the mark in their final seasons.

Most improved definitely goes to Doctor Who, which went from nearly unwatchable to totally making me fall in love with The Doctor and companions all over again (seriously, can we just erase Clara from continuity forever?).

I watched slightly more things than usual this year, including one or two that I caught up with from previous years. I'll try to judge those ones on the episodes that aired this year, rather than the shows as a whole.

1. Better Call Saul

2. South Park

3. Bojack Horseman

4. Game of Thrones

5. 13 Reasons Why

6. Rick and Morty

7. House of Cards

That's not actually as many as I thought I'd watched, now I've written them out. I did recently watch The People vs. OJ Simpson, but that was a 2016 production. I feel so out of the loop with television that I hardly know where to start with new stuff now.
