Speaking of Wolves signing bonkers players, they're apparently making a move for Douglas Costa from Juventus as the replacement for Diogo Jota.

Semedo is an amazing player and a riduculously good signing for Wolves. I know Mendes basically runs football and prefferred this but I don't know why Champions League clubs didn't try to get him at that price.

Burnley are close to signing Dale Stephens and Harry Wilson from Brighton and Liverpool respectively. 

Liverpool have reached an agreement with Watford for Ismaila Sarr. 

Lucas Torreira has reportedly agreed terms to join Atletico Madrid.

Salah, Mane, Firmino, Jota, and now Sarr is great depth up top, but it's largely wingers. Especially if you throw Shaqiri in the mix if he stays. Who's the back up for Firmino in the middle, still Origi?

Mane would probably play central when Bobby is out, if Klopp wants a false nine. He did that a few times last season. Salah also loves to play centrally too.

I could see Jota playing second-fiddle to Firminio to be honest. I think he has the most similar characteristics especially when it comes to pressing from the front.

Where you seeing this btw? The impressions given by the journalists close to the club the other day was that it was either Jota or Sarr. Especially given how much we paid for Jota and how much Watford want for Sarr I honestly can't see it being both of them

Yeah The Athletic are saying that Liverpool opted for Jota instead of Sarr.

Is he even really that good? Obviously average is an upgrade over Kepa, but I haven't heard much about Mendy.

He only has 65 Ligue 1 appearances to his name, helping Reims get promoted from Ligue 2 and finish 8th the following season, before moving to Rennes who finished 3rd last season. It's not much but I'm just happy that Kepa now has enough competition that he either has to up his game or can simply be sidelined without concern.
