Honestly I'd be happy with just a solid wrestling engine. Sod online, I could even live without a career mode, but if the matches are fun I'm a happy bunny.

Same, I want to see a good foundation laid first, and if they can get that right it should bode well. Like I said, if game mode wise it was similar to Fire Pro Wrestling I could totally get into that. So long as its fun.

Based on his comments, it sounds like the career mode will likely start with the beginning of AEW. In that sense, it's awesome that they are looking at the roster as needing to reflect as much as possible from the inception of the company to the cut-off point.

Amazon appears to have jumped the gun and leaked the inclusion of the Casino Battle Royal and exploding barbed wire death matches. It also has a "deep career mode", whatever that means.

Hopefully they figure out a proper finale for the video game version. :shifty:

If anyone is wondering - previously not shown in any footage or screenshots but included here are Hangman Page, Thunder Rosa, Abadon and Yuka Sakazaki. I can't remember if Moxley has been show yet or not.

Bigger versions of said screenshots:

I hate the cover art, but those screenshots look a lot better than what's been released previously - still a weird middle ground between realism and arcade/cartoonish, but hopefully the gameplay leans into that too. Abadon being in there is promising, as it suggests it'll be a pretty deep roster to choose from, though I wonder what the cut-off point is.

Kenny's alluded to Cody Rhodes being in the game, and the career mode beginning at AEW's inception, so I assume that's the "deep career mode". It's a pretty unique situation, to have a company so young that they can tell that story in-game.
