Anyone had their goalkeepers score so far? I've managed to do it in pretty much all of the games since CM3, but no direct luck this time, although I checked my Reserves score and Jan Lastuvka had scored (I assumed it would be a last minute corner or flukely goalkick but he actually took a freekick from outside the box and hammered it in (not enough to make me want him back in the first team though).

Not as good as my Seb' Frey or Paul Robinson goals in CM03/04 (shame the video went down when changing hosts!)

I bring my goalkeepers up for corners every now and then though, came close with Lehmann but no cigar, sometimes if I'm winning 4-0 and theres still a good 30 minutes to go, I'll call my keeper up anyway.

I just hope Stekelenburg has an eye for goal.

I think the goalkeepers taking freekicks is a bug that SI is rectfying. That or you have a goalkeeper who is a free kick specialist ala Chilavert.

Do you not still have the Frey goal on your hard drive? If not I think I have it somewhere.

I've never been able to bring up my keeper for corners, i've heard a load of people do it but have never been able to figure out where to do it from. Any help?

Also i quit as Chelsea cos it got boring, started a new game as Liverpool. I wanna bring back the "sleeping giants2 to the top of Europe. I'm 5th Place now and have signed Mutu(free after drug ban) Guimehere, Panucci, Upson and Van Der Vaart as well as Lustavka. I sold a bunch of backup players and then in January sold Xabi Alonso for 20mill to Chelsea and Luis Garcia to Athletico Bilbao. I'm trying to put together a more English team so hopefully that works out. I got through to the knockout stages of the CL and am playing Inter in a couple of months. I'm out of the FA Cup and League Cup so it's a very bad season but it's a building phase as i've slowly brought Borre and Cerci into my first team squad and Adu should be there as well.

Are there any more "wonderkids" who are quite cheap in the game?

In tactics, you can individually pick players and set them their own set of tactics, during a game (say the 80th minute if your a goal down, or kicking ass) click on your goalkeeper in the tactics menu (not actually on him but on the arrow near his number) and down at the bottom it'll have [Corners - Attack - Defend], go to attack and put whatever you want (forward, challenge gk, etc), then on your next corner he'll run up and attack.

Supat Rungratsamee is probably still a wonderkid, portsmouths u18's I believe, I haven't signed any wonderkids this time though, Its a bit like cheating to me, unless they're actually real hot prospects in real life (e.g. Adu, but I havent signed him either, I'd rather buy him for a couple of million).

w00t! After steering Rangers to the Champions League Quarter finals we came up against AC Milan. It finished 0-0 at Ibrox so we headed to the San Siro for the second leg. Inzaghi scored after 18 mins and it wasn't looking good but he was sent off 7 minutes later. Just before half time Dado Prso was put through by Gavin Rae and he put it past Dida to take the lead on away goals (His 39th in 45 games this season). We battled through the second half and managed to end the game at 1-1 and we are semi final bound! Milan had 26 chances with only 5 on target. Got 1.8m for playing but none of it went to my transfer budget which stands at only 35k after all my spending.

Just drawn Man U in the semis, got the home leg first again. Liverpool vs Arsenal in the other Semi.

So, I just completed my second season and did the best possible domestic double. I could of had a quadruple but I got beat on penalties in the League Cup Final by Liverpool, and in the Champions League Semi-Final I had a unstoppable Inter, who went on to win the competition beating Milan, steamroller me 4-0 in my away leg. I picked up a 2-1 victory at home, not like it mattered. I won the FA Cup, beating Chelsea easily on penalties. The Premiership was won comprehensively, as I wrapped it up with three games to spare, eventually winning by 12 points, and 20 points ahead of 3rd placed Liverpool, with Necastle grabbing the other CL spot. As far as relegation went, Derby went down on goal differance, along with Bolton and Cardiff, the latter of which only picked up 4 points the entire season.

I love this game.

So, I was still at Leicester, sitting 6th, 5 points behind 3rd. Not bad at all. Out of nowhere, they fire me. I'm thinking.. okay, what the fuck? We're close to champions league football, and I'd picked up the League Cup that season.

And I figure, whatever, I'll hang around for a job. That season, Leicester finished 5th. And I was - at the end of the season - offered the Wolves job. I took it, happily. Wolves were lingering 20th after 10 games. I had to change that. Had too. Pulled up to 11th in the last few games. Securing a decent position.

The next season, I strengthened the Wolves squad, and finished, a club record, of 5th. Leicester, one of the top clubs in England under my reign, were relegated, and lost many of their star players.

I was so happy. Nothing is better than seeing Leicester relegated, and me do well.

So, they over reacted, fired me, and completely fell apart.

I love it.

Bah! I drew 1-1 with Man U at Ibrox but a Van Horseface brace helped Man U to a 3-0 win at Old Trafford. 4-1 to them on aggregate. I got 2.2m for playing in the semis though. Arsenal beat Liverpool 7-1 on aggregate

How in the hell?!?!

I am in my 2nd seaosn with Fulham and am in a relegation dog fight, currently sitting in 17th.

Meanwhile, I was bored so I started a game with Chelski, signed van der Vaart for £10.5m and de Jong for £6m. And Robinho for £7m.

I am left with about £23m and Betis won't sell Joaquín for anything under £28m so I can't sign him, guess I will have to wait till January as I am sure Roman will give me more money, hopefully.

No actual product as yet, but there's a thread in the SI Games Forum (here) that lists what changes they've made and bugs they've fixed thus far. It also notes that it will be save game compatible, thankfully.

Its a real pain in the ass, because I've got people like Bergkamp that I'd like to push onto the wing for the last 10 or so minutes of a game, but can't for fear of him coming out with a 2 rating, and the fans hating him.

My unbeaten run with Real Madrid just ended in the Spanish Cup. I lost to second divison Valladolid, of all people!

And David Beckham got a 3! But he's been pretty consistent so far, he's currently the player with the most assists in La Liga.

I've bought Landon Donovan and Philipp Lahm as reinforcements to my small squad in the winter transfer window. Lahm will be arriving at the end of the season, while Donovan has starred in a couple of games, but is currently away on international duty with the USA.

trust me, it will be worth the wait as the 2D highlights are now much better. And you don't have that bug where players get 2's if they are out of position like mudda was talking about. trust me, it will be worth it.
