I have no idea why anybody would be going to watch Pacific Rim for anything other than the action. That's like going to see a Scary Movie and hoping to be legitimately scared.

Saying that, I still find it hilarious that the second best acting in the movie came from the little girl.

Watched the documentary After Porn Ends on Netflix. It's sort of alarming how the men involved went on to lead pretty normal lives, with really only Randy West having regrets (wasn't able to have a family) - while the women in the industry were really fucked up by the emotional toll the industry took and almost all of them ended up getting back in when they couldn't make it a "regular" careers.

As I'd fallen a bit behind because of Latitude and work, and I didn't want to bump an ageing topic, I finally watched The Sting. Man, that was good. Fantastic acting from a very strong cast, accompanied by a great script and a bunch of fun set pieces. Thanks Livid for finally making me watch that. Very excited for Butch Cassidy now.

The Wolverine was good stuff. Nothing I'll probably remember years from now, but it's really fun and stands out as one of the better X-Men films, with First Class and X2 probably being the only ones I'd prefer over it. So much better than that Origins bullshit.

And good god, that post-credits scene. My theater went nuts.
