FIFA 12

So I played the FIFA demo today and I must say that I really enjoy this game. The only thing that might hinder my purchasing decision a bit is the games Franchise mode.

I know nothing about the basic rules of how things in Soccer work when it comes to transfers, delegations and things of that nature. Is there somewhere I can find some info on stuff like this to prepare me for the game?

Also, substitutions when playing the game; How do you guys make subs? when is the best time to make a sub? Can someone fill me in on things like that.

Got to love the amount of people that hate the new tactical defending. It'll be interesting to see how these guys cope online now that they can't put pressure on every one of your players with two of theirs for ninety minutes.

Was it the 20th someone said we could start our UT's? I might actually give the mode a whirl this year. I haven't bothered since 10.

This may've been the case in 11, but are we able to play with a friend locally online against others yet?

Yeah you can. Press Y or triangle when you find a match and sign the friend in as a guest.

Or are you talking about UT? If so im not so sure.

So I skimmed the thread so I dunno if I missed a conversation about it but how is HUT for FIFA? I love playing it on NHL so I was just curious if the FIFA version is as addicting.

I'm not sure how deep HUT goes in comparison, in terms of coach/injury/stadium/formation cards, but FUT can be very addictive. Does anyone know if they've added anything to this years mode?

I've never played it before, but it is the main reason I've pre-ordered it this year. EA are taking their sweet time getting it online though, was supposed to start yesterday.

EDIT: Nevermind, it is online now, even if it does keep crashing.

EDIT2: But apparently you can't do anything without a copy of the game. Why start UT early then?

People can buy packs and get good teams from the off.

You can access using your EA account and the web app. It's been like that for the last game too. I just set mine up and got Beckham in my loyalty packs

Yeah, I've opened my loyalty packs too - got a couple of 78 rated players. It says not to do any trading yet because the service could be taken down at any time, so I've just added everything to my trade pile and I'll sort it out when it's running more smoothly, or when the game arrives.

Yes, that is where I've been. Still telling me I can't because I don't have a copy of FIFA 12.
